This is a boutique hotel that will let you experiment the opulence of a life in the glories past of the Serenissima Republic, which is how Venice was called during the pick of her naval and trade power. Highly recommended.
Exterior: This is a beautiful Palace from the 15th century positioned along the banks of the Grand Canal. Declared a national Monument, still preserves the untouched beauty of an ancient noble residence.
Lobby: The lobby is quite spacious but simple, compared to the elegance and luxury that will surrounds you as soon as you will have climbed the majestic white marbled staircase. The lobby area is just a passage way, the full beauty opens up on the first floor, which is also serviced by a lift, as well as all the other floors. The salons and ballrooms are of amazing beauty, enriched with paintings, frescos and art works, together with the Venetian style furniture and stunning Murano glass chandeliers.
The 15th century palace is majestically positioned along the banks of the Grand Canal, between Rialto Bridge and Ca' D'Oro, facing the colourful and Historical Rialto market. Only a short walk to San Mark's Square and all the historical sites of major interest. The area is also full of local bars and Restaurants as well as small shops. The fashion boutiques located in the Mercerie street or Calle XXII Marzo are also a short and pleasant walk away. The hotel can be reached by water taxi easily from the airport, about 20 minutes journey; from the port terminal, about 15 minutes; from the car parking terminals on Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma, approx 10 min, and from the Santa Lucia train station, only 5 minutes of a wonderful sightseeing ride. It takes only 10 minutes to travel by public boat, line N 1, and stop at Ca' D'Oro from the train station. There are also different routes via public transports that imply more travelling time, but are quite cheap alternatives to water taxis. The closest boat stop is Ca' D'Oro, the second closest, less than 5 minutes walk, but with more boat lines stopping in there, is Rialto.
