1 Hotel South Beach embodies Miami history. The location?s initial landmark 17-story hotel?the Roney Plaza?was first built in 1925. With a Florentine bell tower and copper dome, it was designed to be noticed. And it was: Right through the 50?s, the Roney was the place to be. Famed guests included the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Orson Welles, and Rita Hayworth. This block long building and 600 feet of oceanfront was brought back to its former glory, but with a more modern, natural aesthetic. The main focus was to highlight natural textures in all of the interiors by incorporating reclaimed wood, natural poured concrete floors, and locally sourced materials and foliage.
This brand new eco-friendly luxury Resort is located beachfront on 23rd Street and Collins Avenue, a short walk from Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive and all that South Beach has to offer.
