The Richmond Gate Hotel

The hotel is housed in an elegant eighteenth-century building and was renovated in 2009. To the right is Richmond Terrace, where the magnificent view across the Thames valley has for centuries been an inspiration for poets and painters. To the left are 2,500 acres of Richmond Royal Park, home to herds of red and fallow deer. With a total of 68 guest rooms on offer, the air-conditioned hotel welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service and lift access. There is restaurant on site, and the conference facilities and WLAN Internet access may be of use to business guests. Room and laundry services are additionally provided, and those arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the complimentary car park.

The rooms are all beautifully furnished, each fitted with a private bathroom, telephones with voicemail, hairdryer, trouser press or ironing set, safe, minibar (fees apply) and tea and coffee making facilities. Most rooms offer air conditioning (individually regulated), and all have up-to-date technology including an in-room entertainment system, satellite/cable TV and WLAN broadband Internet access. The rooms have double beds. The heating is individually regulated.

In the elegant setting of Gates on the Park Restaurant, awarded two AA Rosettes, guests can enjoy fine English dining with a modern twist. Imaginative menus have been thoughtfully created to offer a wide range of dishes, all freshly prepared with the greatest attention to detail. Over 60 wines from around the world are available to perfectly complement every meal. Gates Bar also serves a light food menu, and there are two other lounge areas offering open fire places, the perfect places to relax with a newspaper or enjoy traditional afternoon tea.

Cedars Health and Leisure Club features a 20x8-metre indoor swimming pool, a 6-metre spa pool, a cardiovascular gym and a resistance gym. Guests may also like to relax in the spa.
