The hotel was renovated in 2009 and is housed in a building originally constructed in 1800 in the historical centre of Salvador. It was entirely restored to preserve its original appearance while adding the comfort and modernity which today's traveller requires. On the ground floor there is a 24-hour reception desk, a spacious dining room, and a cosy sitting room with views of the city streets. On the first and second floors there are seven stylishly decorated rooms. Facilities include a 24-hour check-out service, a cloakroom, cafe, Internet access and a laundry service.
Located in a privileged area in the historical centre of Salvador, this hotel is close to plenty of Baroque churches, several museums, handicraft shops, local jewellery and gem shops, and popular samba concerts in indoor and outdoor venues. There is a great variety of traditional restaurants, where guests can taste the famous Moqueca and other delicious dishes. The family-friendly historical hotel is close to one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Baia de todos os Santos, where guests can see the blue sea and the Fort São Marcelo, known as the belly button of Bahia. Guests will also find many bars, links to the public transport system and places of interest, such as the Jorge Amado Museum, African Art Museum and San Francisco Church, in the immediate vicinity.
