The hotel was originally built to attract guests to the island who would like to profit from the medicinal characteristics of its sand. The hotel is the best equipped of its kind in Porto Santo. The main building of the complex comprises the guest rooms, the main bar, a restaurant, shops, a games room, meeting facilities in the small business centre with 2 terminals for Internet access and a kids' club. The lobby area provides wifi Internet access, a reception, newspaper stand and a travel agency.
Rooms
Rooms are in good condition and are decorated in modern style with white and blue tone bed throws and curtains. Terra-cotta ceramic flooring and comfortable wooden furniture are highlight of the rooms.
Restaurant & Food
Decorated with light colours and with a casual atmosphere, the main restaurant, Atlantic Restaurant, is to be found in the main building of the complex. All meals are buffets with a wide variety of regional and international gastronomic specialities. The Beach Club is a very good option for light meals during the summer. The Navegador Bar, located in the hotel lobby, is an excellent option for an aperitif before dinner or for a pleasant conversation in the evening.
Activities & Sport
Connected to the hotel by a tunnel is the spa, a totally independent structure which houses the Thalasso and Spa centre, the gym and the diving centre. The hotel offers a beach volley pitch to which the hotel's guests have complimentary access. The diving centre is one of the most popular facilities among the hotel guests, and for the more experienced, the centre takes them out to sea where enthusiastic divers can enjoy the Atlantic Ocean through the clear and limpid waters of Porto Santo. The games room offers guests 3 snooker tables and darts, as well as a bike rental service.

A deposit is required for the use of pool towels (can be changed every two days) This deposit will be returned at end of stay upon return of the towel.
Directions, How to get there
Leaving the airport there is a roundabout 500 mters down the road, turn right and follow the signs to Vila Baleira. The hotel is situated on the right hand side of the main road to Calheta, 2 km after Zarco Shopping.
