This is an African lodge-style resort set amidst a 43-acre wildlife
preserve. The resort offers authentic African-inspired architecture
and features a semi-circular kraal African-village landscape
popular in Africa which offers expansive views of the surrounding
savanna and its many animal inhabitants. The thatched ceilings,
large beams, hand-carved golden-tone furnishings, real African
artifacts and vast mud fireplace in the main lobby surround guests
as they enter, and plunge them into the inimitable spirit of
Africa. Just outside the main lobby, an elevated rock platform, the
Arusha Rock, offers up-close glimpses of the animals and a
panoramic view of the sprawling grounds. In addition to animals,
guests can see thousands of indigenous African shrubs and grasses,
including the copperpod, the most recognised of Africa's canopy
trees. All in all, the scenery paints a picture reminiscent of the
unspoiled African grasslands. Guests can savour authentic African
cuisine at the resort's 2 award-winning restaurants, Jiko - The
Cooking Place and Boma - Flavors of Africa.

The rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and offer
a king-size bed or 2 double beds. They are equipped with a direct
dial telephone, a radio, satellite/ cable TV and an Internet

facilities. Air conditioning and heating are both individually
controlled.
Restaurant & Food
There are three African-inspired restaurants, a thatch-roofed lobby
with a massive mud fireplace and flowing stream inside, and an
ingenious landscape design that puts guests within 15 feet of the
animals for an extraordinary view of the reserve.
