Elegant and historic, this stunning lodge is the grand dame of lodging in the Grand Canyon. Located on the Canyon rim, it features a fine dining room (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), lounge and shop with newsstand. El Tovar offers its guests Concierge, turn-down and room service, and is a Registered National Historic Landmark.
Exterior: Rustic, turn-of-the-century European-style hunting lodge.
Lobby: The rustic elegance of the medium-sized, welcoming lobby shows off the native stone and Oregon pine construction. The lobby was fashioned after the great hunting lodges of Europe with animal heads lining the towering lobby walls.

The hotel has rooms and suites, all with cable TV, a telephone, radio, a full en suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and individually regulated air conditioning and heating. Standard rooms have one double, one queen-size, or two queen-size beds. Deluxe rooms have either two queen-size or one king-size bed. Suites have a bedroom with either two queen-size or one king-size bed, and a sitting room, and some of the suites have a porch or balcony. All rooms are non-smoking. Some rooms and suites will accommodate a rollaway bed, which would be subject to availability and cannot be reserved.

The hotel is also renowned for its world-class dining room. A memorable dining experience in the Arizona wilderness while enjoying breathtaking views of the Canyon. They have an extensive menu and can cater to special needs including several vegetarian options. Casual dress is acceptable.
