Address : scotsburn road, tain, ross-shire Show Hotel Map

The castle is located in the Royal Burgh of Tain, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. It is an ideal base from which to take advantage of the many activities on offer in the area, such as fishing in the loch, whisky tasting and dolphin and seal watching. The cities of Inverness and Dornach are less than an hour away. In Dornach there are numerous golf courses, such as the famous Dornach links.

This castle-hotel is an imposing Victorian building surrounded by a hectare of picturesque countryside. It comprises a total of 19 rooms, an entrance hall, an award-winning kitchen and a traditional bar, which has magnificent oak panelling throughout and offers guests an excellent selection of local whiskies. The spacious dining room emanates a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and offers guests a view over the splendid castle grounds.

Rooms
Most of the sumptuous and spacious bedrooms have a view over the castle's surroundings, the Moray Firth on the south-eastern side and the Dornach Firth to the North East. The rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, and a radio and Internet access. Each room has its own unmistakable character, and guests will be greeted with a sherry-filled carafe on arrival. A fleecy Mansfield soft-toy can be left outside the door and will be interpreted by staff as a 'Do not disturb' sign.

Restaurant & Food
Local produce is always used and everything served is made by hand. The Highlands of Scotland offer the finest venison, poultry, game, wild salmon, trout and the freshest vegetables picked from hotel's garden.
