retains many period features. High ceilings and large windows add

Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner are served in the elegant dining
room. The hotel is centrally located, making it an ideal base from
which to visit all Edinburgh attractions. The helpful staff are
able to provide directions, sight-seeing choices and even book

Rooms
Rooms have dark rose, pink and cream decor with cherry wood
furnishings and period features. All rooms have a TV with freeview
digital channels, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, clock/radio,
complimentary designer toiletries and tea/coffee available at all
times. Many rooms have super king-size beds and most are en suite.
Non-en suite rooms have a wash basin (hot and cold water) in the
room, with the toilet and shower/bath outside, sharing with only
one other room. All rooms have windows which open; the views are
cityscapes of gardens and neighbouring townhouses and gardens; many
rooms have a view of Arthur's Seat or the Pentland Hills.
Activities & Sport
Museums, theatres and sport stadiums are all located within easy
reach. An Olympic-size swimming pool with gym is located within a
10-minute walk, as well as hill walks, pubs, shopping centres and
many of Edinburgh delights. Golf is available nearby, with many
courses an easy distance away. Playing fields and tennis courts are
located in the Meadows, 10 minutes on foot. The Festival Theatre,
Queens Hall, the Edinburgh Playhouse, Usher Hall and the Lyceum are
all close by.

Directions, How to get
there
Arriving from the west, turn onto the City Bypass (A720), heading
south and east. Drive around the city and exit the bypass at
Straiton junction, joining the A701 towards the city centre. The
hotel is located three miles along this road, on the right.
