It opened in 1862, and comprises 107 bedrooms in total. The building was renovated in 2008. This top-flight full-service hotel offers drinks and snacks in the relaxed atmosphere of the Grand Lounge Bar. One of the most striking features of this Grade II listed building is the elegant ballroom which can accommodate up to 400 persons for a banquet, and which also offers a further 14 meeting rooms. The ballroom in its history has played host to royalty including Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, King George VI and the then Princess Elizabeth. By Car: Exit J33 M1. Follow the A57 towards Sheffield City Centre. At the first roundabout (Park Square Roundabout), take the 5th exit towards A61/A57 Glossop. Stay in the outside lane to enable turning right on to Furnival Road at the traffic lights. Take an immediate left onto Victoria Station Road and go under the welcome archway.
