The hotel stands just one and a half miles from the centre of Stratford surrounded by acres of beautiful parkland much of which was once the property of William Shakespeare. 2 kms to city centre 41 kms to the airport (birmingham) 144 kms to the airport (heathrow) 3 km to the nearest station (stratford upon avon) 10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 32 km to the nearest fair site (nec)

The hotel is also renowned for its attractive 18-hole golf course set in 157 acres of mature parkland. This is a very elegant hotel.
Exterior: The main house was built in the Jacobean style of 1869.
Lobby: The hotel's magnificent lounge features a black marble fireplace and over mantle. Afternoon tea can be taken by the roaring log fire. The lounge is filled with deep sofas and armchairs, with bright flower arrangements contrasting with the marvellous old oak panelling. The lobby is small.

Rooms
The tasteful en suite rooms have been individually furnished and many features 19th century antiques and splendid oil paintings. Each comes with a hairdryer, direct dial telephone, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, a selection of Sky Sports channels, a radio and Internet access (fees may apply).

Restaurant & Food
The restaurant serves the finest English and French cuisine. It is very bright and spacious with fine views over the formal Italian garden to the grounds that were once William Shakespeare's.

Activities & Sport
The well-kept outdoor complex features a pleasant sun terrace and there is an in-house state-of-the-art gym to take advantage of. Guests have also full use of the spa facilities that include an impressive level decked swimming pool, external vitality pool, heated lounges and foot spas. There is also a range of thermal experience rooms and a selection of treatment rooms (additional charges will apply) and a par 70, 18-hole championship golf course set against a beautiful backdrop.

Directions, How to get there
Exit motorway M40 at junction 15, follow the A46 towards Stratford-upon-Avon, then the A439 at the next roundabout. The entrance is after 4.8 km on the right.
