This 120-room recently refurbished hotel de charme, which re-opened
in August 2008, is housed in a historic Victorian townhouse
benefiting from a huge refurbishment, the first stage of which has
now been completed. The hotel offers complimentary wireless
Internet access throughout. In addition to a lobby area with
24-hour reception and check-out services, a cloakroom and lift
access to the upper floors of the hotel, further facilities
available to guests at this establishment include a restaurant,
conference room and room and laundry services. Those arriving by
car may leave their vehicles in the hotel car park.
Rooms
Of the 120 rooms, 70 rooms have been completely refurbished and the
remainder have been refreshed and will be refurbished at a later
stage. All of the bedrooms offer an ironing centre, tea and coffee
making facilities and an LCD TV with Freeview channels. In addition
to a private bathroom with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer, further
standard features of accommodation units include a direct dial
telephone, Internet access, a double bed and centrally regulated
heating units.
Restaurant & Food
Offering a range of British and Mediterranean dishes the
restaurant, with a varied menu also available day and night from
Room Service and snacks and refreshments served throughout the day
in the lounge. Private dining is also catered for, providing an
opportunity for more personalised menus if required. Every type of
function from small, intimate parties, to larger events for up to
200 guests, can be accommodated.
Activities & Sport
There is an on-site leisure club with an indoor heated swimming
pool, a sauna and a mini gym for guests' use, providing plenty of
opportunities to relax and unwind. Fans of the fairway can head to
the nearest golf course, which is about a 10-minute walk from the
hotel.
Directions, How to get
there
By Car: From London - Follow the M25, then M3, then A35 into
Bournemouth. You will pass the Asda and railway station on your
left-hand side. Continue in the middle lane. At the next roundabout
take the exit off left and follow the signs for Westcliff. This
will lead you on to Durley Chine Road South. From here, follow the
road round to the next roundabout, the Durley Dean Hotel is the red
bricked building. The car park is situated in Durley Gardens
halfway up on the left-hand side. There is limited parking at the
hotel, however there is a public pay and display car park opposite
the hotel if required.
