The hotel has a 10,000 square-foot agua spa in London provides
pampering,spiritual relief, and tranquility to all who enter. A
dazzling array of rejuvenating treatments combining the best of
ancient and modern techniques are offered. With its miles of
diaphanous white curtains, 14 all-white treatment rooms, chill-out
zone and meditation beds, agua has a peaceful, dreamy and almost
cloud-like ambiance.
Exterior: It is a large modern building dating from the 1960s with
very large windows. The hotel does not have its name over the door
the way other properties tend to.
Lobby: The lobby is a large open plan area. The hotel has been
designed by Phillipe Stark, a famous designer. The flooring is
light wood and the walls and windows are covered in white voile
curtains. On entering there is a large red sofa, in the shape of a
pair of lips, designed by Salvador Dali. The furniture is very
abstract - mostly wooden carved chairs imported from Africa. There
are also several gold chairs with carved swan arms.
Rooms
This striking room imaginatively blurs the line between baroque and
modern,structure and space, extravagance and simplicity. Designed
without interior walls, layers of sheer curtains allow you to
conceal or reveal different spaces as you desire. On each bed there
is a hand-made pashmina which is for sale should you wish to
purchase it. The bathrooms are shower only.The partition wall
between the bathroom and bedroom is glass. The bathrooms consist of
a glass sink, glass shelves and a glass wardrobe with a white
curtain Ingenious design touches reflect the whimsical aesthetic of
Philippe Starck, including a rug inspired by Voltaire's handwriting
and soothing landscape scenes that are hung, unexpectedly, on the
ceiling. Every detail embodies thoughtful luxury,including
entertainment on demand, Egyptian cotton linens and sumptuous bath
products from agua by Korres. All standard rooms are 300 sqft/.
Restaurant & Food
The Sanderson's restaurant is called Suka. It offers modern
authentic Malaysian cuisine prepared with European sensibility.
Created by acclaimed New York chef Zak Pelaccio, Suka's menu of
fresh British and Malaysian produce marries French cooking
techniques with the intensity and spectrum of Southeast Asian
flavors.The menu is served in typical Asian sharing style and
includes dishes ranging from home-style to truly elegant and
luxe.Sanderson hotel is also famous for its focal point of energy
The Long Bar. Long Bar is light, white and airy and radiates
freshness and cleanliness. Classic and innovative cocktails fill
the seasonally changing menu, with guests also being able to enjoy
the ultimate burger with a selection of varying garnishes,
charcuterie and mezze sharing plates. The Purple Bar, with its
veritable symphony of purples, lavenders and violets, is a chic and
intimate lounge that has become one of London's hottest gathering
places. It looks like an enormous meteorite just fallen from the
sky,the wildly theatrical Purple Bar feels straight from the pages
of "Alice in Wonderland",a quality that makes it the perfect
setting for drinks,conversation and people-watching. Purple Bar
offers 10oz Martinis as well as a selection of 3oz Martinis as well
as a selection of 3oz classic Martinis, all of which are based on
the original Martini 'The Martinez' dating back to 1860.

The hotel offers access to a fabulous garden in its inner
courtyard, and features the calming, white spa centre (2 floors
with luxurious treatment rooms), with a gym and spa and massage
treatments.

there
From London Heathrow by car, take the M4 to the A4 which carries
onto Cromwell Road. Follow the road through to Old Brompton Road
and on to Hyde Park Corner. Turn into Park Lane and then into
Oxford street. Drive towards Tottenham Court Road and turn left at
Berners Street. From London Gatwick by rail, take the Gatwick
Express to London Victoria railway station. Then take a taxi to the
hotel. From London Heathrow by rail, take the Heathrow Express to
Paddington station. Then take a taxi or take the Circle line
underground to Queensway station. Next change to the Central line
towards Oxford Circus station. Walk from Oxford Circus towards
Tottenham Court Road and take a left onto Berners Street.
