This hotel has much to offer and it is clear to see why it has become so popular.
Exterior: The exterior of the hotel is traditional and well maintained. As the name suggests, the building is of typical Swiss chalet-style.
Lobby: The small lobby is in keeping with the traditional style of the exterior. The extensive use of wood and oak beams combines to create a typical chalet style.

The rooms vary considerably in size and style as the hotel has refurbished its rooms at different stages. On average the rooms are medium-sized. Approximately half the rooms are in fair to good condition, as are the bathrooms. The other half of the rooms are in a new wing and are in excellent condition with modern bathrooms. Although rather small, the bathrooms are in outstanding condition.

The hotel only serves breakfast for individual travellers, although it can serve dinner for groups, if required.

In the immediate area guests will find a casino with a kursaal. Summer or winter, Interlaken is an ideal departure point for various sports activities and extensive hiking possibilities in the Jungfrau region. The boat station and Interlaken West is easily accessible within a few minutes on foot. The hotel also offers a sauna, massage, free hotel bikes and free entrance to the nearby public indoor and outdoor swimming pool.

From Zurich or Basel you can reach Interlaken by the motorway (A1/N1) via Bern and Thun. The route from Lucerne (A2) takes you over the Brünig Pass of Brienz and on to Interlaken. The hotel is located in the centre of Interlaken, near the post office at the Marktplatz (Market Square). The hotel can be reached by car using the entrance between the Hotel Chalet Oberland and the Credit Suisse Bank.
