In the heart of the city, this parador occupies an old convent of baroque style, preserving many of its ancient elements. 240 kms to the airport (seville) 330 kms to the airport (barajas) 1 km to the nearest station (merida) 30 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 20 km to the nearest fair site (tierida)

The surrounding areas are worth visiting. Golf course,tennis courts, fishing can also be arranged.
Exterior: The inner court is an example of what the history of the city is. Roman columns with visigothic cornices have been used to build the cloister of the convent which was founded in the XVIIIth century on the remains of a Roman temple and converted in 1933, the decoration is governed by Roman motifs.
Lobby: It is very nicely decorated maintaining the style of the rest of the rooms.

There are 82 rooms available, distributed around the patio and some of them are in the anexe. The decor can be considered austere, like cells with terracota floors, vaulted and beamed ceilings, wooden furniture and views to the garden.
