The hotel is located in Guadix, a monumental city with striking architectural features. The Arab castle dominates the town, which also features a stunning cathedral and many other unique buildings from different historical periods. Attractions include the cathedral, about 500 metres away, the Alcazaba, some 800 metres away, the Cueva Museo de Alfareria, around 1.2 km away, and the Iglesia Cueva Ermita Nueva, roughly 1.7 km from the hotel. The railway station is roughly 1.3 km from the hotel and the bus station is some 1.5 km away.

The hotel was renovated and extended in 2008 and now offers 40 rooms and one suite. There is ample parking next to the hotel for cars and buses, as well as a private garage. The restaurant serves delicious regional and international cuisine, and has an extensive and selective wine list.
