the 14 hectare Glen Nature Reserve which the apartments verge on in
Camps Bay. The establishment consists of luxury serviced apartments
with views of the ocean, Twelve Apostles mountain range and Lion's
Head, and finished with modern and clean aesthetics and expansive
windows that maximise the scenery. With 20 apartments on offer, the
hotel features a lobby, wireless Internet access, laundry services,
a garage and bicycle hire.
Rooms
Combining design elements and interiors with modern aesthetics and
floor spaces ranging from 60 to 180 m2, it offers guests the choice
of studio apartments, 2-bedroom apartments and 3-bedroom loft
apartments. Top class interior finishes emphasize stone and timber,
while maximum use of glass curtain-walls optimize the natural light
and frame the magnificent views. The apartments feature
individually regulated air conditioning and heating, under-floor
heating, satellite television, wireless Internet access (for a fee)
and a fully equipped kitchen. They also offer a washing machine,
tumble dryer, heated towel rails, electronic safes and a built in
hairdryer. The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower, bathtub
and hairdryer.
Restaurant & Food
The accommodation is fully self-catered. On arrangement Camps Bay
Retreat restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Activities & Sport
The pool is positioned on the mountain side of the apartments with
a thicket of tall trees beside the building. Surrounded by the
imagery of the sea views and trees, the saltwater outdoor swimming
pool's rocky Zen-like design and trickling water all add to an
atmosphere of sophistication and leisure. Two Johnny Loco bikes are
available for hire at the reception office. Guests can cruise Camps
Bay on one of these, and take in the fresh ocean breeze. By special
arrangement guests can take advantage of the Camps Bay Retreat spa
and the spa at The Bay Hotel, the tennis court at Camps Bay
Retreat, the Camps Bay Tennis Club, the Camps Bay Squash Club and
the Camps Bay Beach Club.
Directions, How to get
there
Exit the airport in the direction of N2 Cape Town. Follow signs for
the N2 City, Foreshore, Sea Point. Follow the N2 Stad/City signs
until arriving at a large intersection with several sets of traffic
lights (Coen Steytler Avenue). Proceed straight ahead along this
road (M62) following the Table Mountain Cable Way/Camps Bay signs.
Without turning towards the Cable Way, descend straight into Camps
Bay. Take the second road to the right, Geneva Drive, and follow
its winding descent. Turn right into the 5th road, Sedgemoor Road,
and straight over a stop street (Berkley road). Chilworth Road is
the very next road to the right. Turn right here and the apartment
hotel is 125 metres down the road on the right-hand side.
