This is a modern and elegant hotel with a contemporary design
concept. It opened in 2008, and improves the availability of
quality accommodation options for both business and leisure
travellers coming to Madeira Island. It has 220 rooms in total
spread across 10 floors, as well as 2 fine restaurants, 3 bars and
esplanades, and a ballroom with seating for up to 350 persons. It
is air-conditioned, and has a lobby, 24-hour reception and
check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facility,
cloakroom, lift access, a newspaper stand, Internet and WLAN
access, and a hairdressing salon. The 6 conference rooms, offering
flexible meeting spaces and equipped with web access, are the
perfect places to host meetings and conferences. 24-hour room
service and a laundry service are provided for a fee. Parking
facilities are available to guests arriving by car in the form of a
parking garage.

The modern and comfortable, exquisitely-appointed guestrooms
include 16 premium suites with a kitchen, 8 master suites with
kitchenettes, as well as 2 executive suites. The kitchen areas come
with a microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are
equipped with individually regulated air conditioning and heating,
radio, digital cable TV with 32"" LCD screens, pay TV, broadband
Internet access, an in-room safe and a minibar. An en suite
bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, and double or king-size
beds are also provided. Verandas, balconies and terraces also
feature.

Directions, How to get
there
From Madeira Airport, take the dual carriageway following the signs
for Funchal. Exit left at the signpost for Funchal/Hospital/Porto.
At the roundabout take the exit Hospital/Avenida do Mar. At the
traffic lights, turn right for Câmara de Lobos and stay in the
left-hand lane on the road called Estrada Monumental as far as the
Lido area. Upon reaching the signpost for Praia do Gorgulho, the
hotel should be in direct sight.
