The hotel is ideal for people wanting to relax and get away from it
all as well as the visiting golfer, as it is favourably placed
adjacent to the par 71 championship Palheiro Golf Course. Guests

Exterior: The manor house built in 1804 is traditional in style,
the annex, a modern construction, where most rooms are located,
maintains the style of the main building.
Lobby: The lobby which is small in size is decorated in the same
classical style as the rest of the building.
Rooms
Most rooms are located in the Garden Wing, adjacent to the main
building. These spacious rooms, which also feature a custom built
golf bag rack are decorated in a classical style combining comfort
and warmth. Whereas the wooden furniture is dark toned, the
enthraling curtains and bedspreads are red. Most rooms have views
of the adjoining gardens.
Restaurant & Food
At the hotel's dining room, guests may enjoy a wide variety of
menus presented by their award winning French chef who mixes
traditional Portuguese dishes with culinary expertise, to create an
à la Carte menu which has already been recognized in Madeira
as one of the finest on the island. The bistro restaurant is
situated circa 500 metres from the hotel, in the Palheiro Golf
Clubhouse. The ideal place for a light meal during the day or an
early dinner, the panoramic terrace offers some of the most
breathtaking views in Madeira, overlooking the bay of Funchal.
Activities & Sport
Within the grounds you may find an outdoor swimming pool with a
snack bar a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. A Spa with
a wide selection of treatments and massages, an indoor swimming
pool, a sauna and steam bath are also available. Sports enthusiasts
may play table tennis, tennis, golf or pool.
Directions, How to get
there
On exiting the airport take the motorway in direction to Funchal.
Look carefully for the numbered exits plates on the motorway and
leave on exit nº 13 indicating: Funchal (Boa Nova); Palheiro
Ferreiro. Check your speed as the exit ramp is quite short and turn
right following the sign indicating: Palheiro Ferreiro; Palheiro
Golf. After the S' bend take the first turning to your left
following always the signs up the hill to Palheiro Golf. On
entering Palheiro Estate you will see the sign indicating Casa
Velha to your left. Another 500m and you are here.
