The hotel is surrounded by palm trees and pine woods, and within walking distance from the small beach located at the heart of Ulcinj. It is one of the few family-owned and operated facilities among Montenegro's hotels and resorts, steeped in the 2000-year history of the Ulcinj community. It is among the oldest settlements in the Mediterranean, a place where Romans, Turks, Venetians, and even pirates once lived. There is a bus station about 2 km from the hotel and a train station is located approximately 25 km away.

The city hotel, which was built in 1973 and recently reconstructed, has a typical Mediterranean atmosphere. The hotel comprises 5 bungalow buildings and 134 rooms in total, each with panoramic views of the Old Town, the beach promenade and the Adriatic Sea. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. The establishment is air-conditioned and facilities include a hotel safe, a TV lounge, a bar, and conference facilities for business travellers. Guests can take advantage of the hotel's Internet access.
