The largest property on the island, this is a good choice for those
wanting to have a large number of activities available without
venturing away from the resort. As well, this is an ideal property
for wind- or kitesurfers, as the peninsula is the best place on the
island for such activities. As the resort is large and extremely
spread out, please note that getting around can involve a good deal
of walking.
Exterior: Situated on 11 hectares, the resort was designed that all
rooms have a view of the Indian Ocean. Low-rise buildings house the
various accommodation and two swimming pools and 3 tennis courts
are located on-site. The resort is set on a one kilometre white
sand beach that curves around the Le Morne peninsula.
Lobby: The lobby is large and offers ample seating as well as tour
operators desks and car rental services.
Rooms
The rooms are very pleasant and harmoniously combine luxury and
comfort. All of the rooms feature a private balcony or terrace
facing the lagoon and guests have the choice of three 3 different
styles of decoration; Indian, marine and mountain styles. Each room
features an en suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a double
or king-size bed and individually regulated air conditioning. Other
in-room amenities include satellite TV, a hairdryer, radio, safe,
minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.
Restaurant & Food
A vast seven restaurants are offer at this property and guests
booked on half board may have dinner at any of the seven with no
additional charges.The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast and
themed buffet dinners.A seafood restaurant, located on the terrace
of the Thalasso-Energy Centre, offers spa cuisine.A gourmet Indian
restaurant in open for dinner and specialised is North Indian
cuisine.An Italian restaurant is another choice for dinner with
prior reservations, or guests may choose to dine at the
bistro.Lastly, a pool side grill is open for lunch and certain
speciality evenings.
Activities & Sport
Those who want to stay fit even during their holidays can pay a
visit to the gym, while the sauna, steam room, massages and spa
treatments provide relaxation. There are 4 outdoor swimming pools
in total with a children's swimming area (fees apply), a poolside
snack bar and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out
ready for use. Guests may also take part in an aqua fit session
(fees apply), or enjoy a game of tennis (fees apply), pool/snooker,
bocce, beach volleyball (for a fee) or table tennis (fees apply).
Water sports available on the nearby sandy beach include
waterskiing (fees apply), motor boating (fees apply), banana
boating, sailing, catamaran boating, canoeing (fees apply) and
pedal boating (fees apply). Guests may also explore the surrounding
area by bike. The hotel organises entertainment programmes for
adults and children (fees apply for both). Sun loungers and
parasols can be hired for a fee on the sandy beach.
