This eco-friendly resort is a haven of fun and entertainment for
the whole family. The club has comfortable and well equipped rooms
set amongst acres of tropically landscaped gardens.It also include
a range of service such 24-hour front desk and has a nice bar
restaurant.
Restaurant & Food
Full breakfast and dinner offered in the main restaurant by the
pool, which seats 300 and has smoking and non-smoking areas
overlooking Watamu beach. The meals are buffet style. Full lunch is
offered at the Snack Bar at the poolside in buffet style and also
snacks. The Blue Turtle restaurant on the beach is regularly
utilised in the evenings as a waiter service area. Guests need to
book in advance for this area. Sandals are not allowed. A la carte
menu at an extra charge and also run for special occasions
(weddings, etc). The Pizza Garden is overlooking tropical water
ponds offers a variety of oven fresh pizzas and other meals for
lunch and evening at an extra charge for some meals.
Activities & Sport
The hotel includes a fully supervised Mini Club for 4 -12 year
olds. The Mini Club offers cartoons films, games, and field trips.
Baby sitting service on request and extra cost. Daily activities:
table-tennis and beach volleyball plus many other daily activities
organised by the Fun Base team. The hotel also offers aquatics,
beach olympics, beach soccer, village walks, Swahili lessons,
darts, sand-castle making, tug-of-war, water polo and snorkelling.
Theme Nights: include African night, Oriental night, Italian night,
Mexican night, Arabic night, Swahili night, BBQ's and more. Night
entertainment: includes visiting bands, disco, African tribal
dancers, acrobatic shows, snake shows, quiz nights and video
nights.
Comments
Dresscode: We believe part of our success at Turtle Bay is
informality. T-shirts, Vest, cut-off shorts, and swimwear with a
wrap are accepted during the day, but we do not allow any of these
during the night in our restaurants. Smart tailored shorts,
trousers, slacks, short-sleeved shirts, polo shirts, skirts,
dresses, shoes or sandals are accepted in the main restaurant and
Pizza Garden for dinner. The dresscode for the Blue Turtle
Restaurant is strictly smart shirts, trousers, shoes and dresses.
Shorts and sandals are not accepted in the Blue Turtle in the
evening. Please note that as we are working with Muslim staff, we
do ask all of our female guests to respect the Muslim ways and
cover themselves and/or swimming costume from shoulder to knee with
either a wrap, long T-shirt or sundress when eating in the dining
room. For hygiene reasons we discourage the use of towels as wrap
during lunch.
