Exterior: The Clarion hotel was previously a hospital building, and on arrival at this remarkable granite stone building guests will be impressed by the scale of the property and the beautiful architechture of the main hotel. There is a long driveway wich leads past a small chapel which is now used for small ceremonies, and up to a raised parking area in front of the huge portcullis entrance way.Built in 1848 and recently renovated to its previous gothic like glory there is nothing else quite like this , imposing, enchanting, outlandish yet strangely peaceful building
Lobby: You will notice again once you enter through the front doors for the first time and are greeted by soft warm colours, large sofas with oversize cushions, and an imaginative use of contemporary interior design against original 19 Century architecture.

The comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. Each room features a direct dial telephone, Internet access, satellite/cable TV with a radio function, a minibar, ironing facilities, a hire safe and central heating. The suites are more spacious and include a separate lounge.
