Exterior: This is a large, whitewashed, traditional building with
attractive surroundings. The main house of the hotel dates back
over 200 years.
Lobby: The lobby is medium in size, with plenty of seating
available, and the decor consists of mahogany wood and deep red
furnishings.
Rooms
The hotel has 250 bedrooms, which all have en-suite bathrooms and
are mostly medium in size. The rooms have been renovated quite
recently and are in good condition; some command a view of Dublin
city. All have direct-dial telephones, tea/coffee-making
facilities, satellite television, hair dryer and trouser press.
Restaurant & Food
The main restaurant in the Hotel is the Shanard restaurant, which
serves extensive a la carte and daily menus. There is also the
Appian Lounge which serves tasty bar food and snacks from midday to
9pm each evening with great value and plenty of options.
Activities & Sport
Live Music every Saturday night in the Appian Lounge. No cover

Directions, How to get
there
From Dublin city: from O'Connell Street Upper driving North. Turn
left on to Parnell Square South. Turn right on to Parnell Square
West. Carry on straight along Granby Row. Turn right on the Upper
Dorset Street. Carry on straight down Lower Dorset Street . Which
leads into Lower Drumcondra Road. Which changes into Upper
Drumcondra Road. Carry on straight & this leads onto the Swords
Road. Go through the lights at Griffith Avenue Junction. There is a
Red Brick Garda Station on the left. At the next set of lights the
hotel is on the right. From Dublin Airport: heading Southbound
towards city centre. Follow all signs for city centre, going
through several roundabouts. Carry on straight along the M1 towards
the entrance to the Port Tunnel. Just after drive under a large
bridge, see Whitehall Church, a large redbrick church on the left.
Carry on straight through the next junction. Pass one more set of
traffic lights, at the Viscount Pub, on the left. Continue straight
through a set of Pedestrian Lights. At the next set of lights is
the hotel on the left.
