This is a luxurious 5* property in Chania and a fresh new
proposition in a perfect location near the sea and the city. It
only opened recently and the high level of services offered are
being continuously enhanced and upgraded, but surely it is already
among the most ambitious luxury properties in the area.
Exterior: The massive, modern structure resembles a large ocean
liner docked on a hill. It easily draws attention from a distance
and dwarves most of the buildings in the vicinity.
Lobby: The huge lobby is where the reception area and main bar is,
and is decorated with marble floors and modern futuristic
furniture. There is a sizeable and modern conference facility to
accomodate up to 200 delegates, and a shopping gallery with various
shops, a hairdresser, and a gym and sauna area available for the
guests. There are various play rooms and a paly area dedicated to
the hotels' younger guests.
Rooms
The large rooms are elegantly appointed, with king size double beds
and large glass panel windows overlooking the pool area or the sea
or inland, depending on availability. They are decorated with
expensive fabrics and they have all modern comforts such as air
conditioning, mini bar, satellite tv, wireless internet access, and
state of the art bathrooms with hydro massage showers or
bathtubs.
Restaurant & Food
The sizeable restaurant serves a rich breakfast and meals with a
Cretan and International flavour. There is a gourmet Italian themed
restaurant, a taverna near the seafront (outside the complex) and a
pool bar as well as a trendy main bar in the entrance lounge, open
for drinks until late in the night.
Activities & Sport
There is an outdoor swimming pool with children's swimming area and
a poolside snack bar with sun loungers and parasols laid out for
use. Guests may also join in an aerobics session, work out in the
gym, relax in the sauna, or with a massage, or enjoy a game of
volleyball or beach volleyball. Water sports offered include
waterskiing, jet skiing, diving, surfing and windsurfing. The hotel
puts on entertainment programmes for children. The nearby beach is
sandy.
