This hotel forms part of the Barceló
Bávaro Beach Resort, Convention Centre, Golf Course
& Casino resort that comprises 5 separately managed units. The
Barceló Express train regularly travels through the
complex, providing a link between the various hotels and most
important facilities. The holiday complex comprises a total of 600
rooms housed within many 2 to 4 storey housing units that lie
amidst wonderfully kept, tropical gardens. In the central area is
an open foyer with a 24-hour reception area, a lobby bar, a safe
and a currency exchange bureau. There are also various boutiques, a
bank, a jeweller's shop, a supermarket, a beauty and hair salon, a
chemist, several handcraft shops and a casino within the complex.
Dining options include a buffet restaurant, an air-conditioned
à la carte Mexican restaurant, a steakhouse, a Spanish
gourmet restaurant as well as 3 different bars. There are also 2
nightclubs open to guests as well as medical assistance, a bicycle
hire service (for an additional fee) as well as room and laundry
services. There are car park and garage facilities for those
arriving by car.
Rooms
All rooms lie in the complex that lies directly beside the beach
and come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a balcony or
terrace, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a minibar, a hire
safe and individually controllable air conditioning.
Restaurant & Food
Guests may be served their breakfast or may alternatively select it
from a buffet. The midday and evening meals are also available in a
buffet form or may be taken à la carte or chosen from
a menu. Special dietary requirements as well as individual-specific
dishes may be prepared.
Activities & Sport
In the outdoor complex is a swimming pool with integrated
children's pool, a pool bar, a sun terrace and a snack/ beach bar
on the beach. Guests may make use of the sun loungers and towels
beside the pool and on the beach at no additional charge. The
sports offers are extensive and include table tennis, football,
baseball, badminton, beach volleyball, minigolf, bocce, water ball,
tennis (6 sand courts, floodlighting for an additional fee) and an
18-hole golf course. It is possible to play billiards on payment of
an extra charge and guests may make use of the gym as well as take
part in gymnastic and aerobics sessions. Horse riding trips depart
from the hotel ranch (charges payable) and various water sports may
be tried out on the beach including banana boating, windsurfing,
sailing, water skiing and diving (fees apply). The daily-varying
entertainment programme with games, sports activities and shows for
guests both young and old (kids' club for those aged from 4 to 12
years of age) mean that there is never a dull moment.
