This hotel is situated in the harbour quarter, directly beside the River Gudenå, which runs into one of the many beautiful lakes of Silkenborg a little further downstream. The town centre and the main railway station are only 500 m from the hotel. Guests will be able to find a multitude of museums, boutiques, bars and restaurants here. Aarhus, the second largest town in Denmark, lies about 40 km from the hotel. Billund airport is 60 km from the hotel.

The hotel is to be found in a shopping and entertainment centre, which was originally built as a paper factory in 1846. The whole complex has been restored in a classical style and today accommodates cinemas, a gym and restaurants. The hotel comprises 88 rooms (including 5 suites) spread over 4 floors. The lobby features a 24-hour reception and a lift. Further facilities include a cosy lobby bar and 2 air-conditioned à la carte restaurants, each with an outdoor terrace affording charming views of the lake and the forest, which surrounds the town. Business guests are offered use of the modern seminar facilities. Those arriving by car may make use of the car parking and garage spaces.
