Address : baths of aphrodite road, lasti, polis Show Hotel Map

Named after the mythical son of Theseus, Akamas is one of the most beautiful areas of Cyprus; with its fresh mountain springs and seasonal swathes of wild orchids and cyclamen, it comes as no surprise to learn that it was here that Aphrodite first set eyes on Adonis. The hotel occupies a secluded spot on the edge of the proposed Akamas Nature Reserve, along a private stretch of coast in between the little town of Polis and the charming fishing village of Latchi. Paphos International Airport and Larnaca International Airport are about 70 km and 170 km away, respectively.

Whitewashed buildings and elegant Mediterranean décor impart all the charm of a traditional Cypriot village. Guests can choose from 177 rooms and suites located in the main building or in villas around the village square. Guests of this family-friendly hotel are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include air conditioning, a hotel safe, currency exchange and a cloakroom. There is also lift access to the upper floors, a newspaper stand, hairdressing salon, kids' club, TV lounge and a car park. Business travellers will appreciate the conference facilities and both wireless Internet access and bicycle hire are available for additional fees.

Rooms
All rooms have balconies and complimentary wireless Internet access. Some suites have private plunge pools and hot tubs on sea-facing terraces. All rooms are en suite with a shower, bath and a hairdryer. In-room amenities include a king-size bed, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and central heating.

Restaurant & Food
This hotel offers four restaurants, including Basiliko Restaurant that offers a trendy food experience with all dishes and desserts based on Asian cooking techniques and ingredients with a hint of Mediterranean flavour. The dress code is smart casual but no jeans, shorts or sports attire. No children under the age of 12 years are allowed. Helios Restaurant is the resort's fine dining restaurant, where guests can experience contemporary French Riviera cooking, and à la carte and daily changing table hotel menus. The dress code is smart casual but no jeans, shorts or sports attire. Regrettably no children who require high chairs are allowed. Amphora Restaurant is the resort's casual dining room offering a sumptuous buffet breakfast as well as themed international dinner buffets. An à la carte and children's menu are available as well. The dress code is casual. Pelagos Restaurant overlooks the main pool and the Mediterranean Sea and it thus is the perfect location for al fresco dining. It offers Cypriot and Mediterranean-style cuisine with a selection of fresh local seafood, mezze, salads and pastas. The dress code is casual.

Activities & Sport
Glistening waterfalls link the hotel's two spectacular swimming pools including a saltwater pool, just steps from some of the finest luxury water sport facilities in Cyprus, including waterskiing, jet skiing, motor boating, banana boating, catamaran boating and canoeing (all for extra fees). Guests can dive, sail and windsurf in the beautiful waters of the Akamas Marine Reserve or venture into the wilds of the proposed Akamas Nature Reserve for jeep safaris, rock climbing, mountain biking and hill trekking. Tennis, table tennis, squash and pool/snooker are available on site, along with beach barbecues, traditional Cypriot evenings and a weekly Cyprus Fair or guests can choose from three 18-hole championship golf courses within an hour's drive. There is a poolside snack bar on site and guests can unwind on the sun loungers with parasols laid out both in the resort and on the nearby sandy/pebble beach. Guests can also take part in an aqua fit or aerobics session, or enjoy a workout in the gym. A sauna and steam room also feature, and for additional fees massages and spa treatments are available. The hotel arranges entertainment programmes for both adults and children (for a fee).

Directions, How to get there
From Paphos Airport: As guests exit Paphos Airport they should follow the main motorway route A6 to Paphos. After arriving in Paphos, they will come to a roundabout with traffic lights. Following the signs indicating the way towards Polis, they will then pass a 2nd set of traffic lights, and then come to a small roundabout. Take the first exit still following signs for Polis. Continue until arriving at the T-junction. This has traffic lights. Guests will need to be in the right-hand lane. Turn right and continue following the signs for Polis. As they approach Polis, they will see an Eko petrol station on their left-hand side, take the first turning to their left 150 m after the petrol station and follow the signs to Latchi. Beware of unmarked speed humps along the road. Follow the road towards the Baths of Aphrodite. Before reaching the Baths of Aphrodite, they will see the hotel on their right-hand side.
