Opened in 2001, this beach resort hotel comprises a total of 690
rooms of which 352 are suites and 80 are villas. Facilities include
a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a hotel safe, currency
exchange facility and a cloakroom. It offers a selection of shops,
a hairdressing salon, as well as a games room, children's
playground and kids' club for the youngsters. There is a bar, a
nightclub and a restaurant and guests will appreciate the
conference room and Internet access. They can also take advantage
of the medical assistance and room and laundry services. It is also
possible to hire bicycles on the premises. A car park is on offer
to those arriving by car.
Rooms
Each of the rooms comes with a private bathroom with a
shower/bathtub and a hairdryer and offers a double bed. They are
equipped with satellite/ cable TV, a minibar, air conditioning, a
safe and a terrace.
Restaurant & Food
For breakfast, guests have the Los Portales, the Laguna and the
buffet service restaurant at their disposal. À la
carte restaurants are also available, such as the El Gallo, El
Malecon, with its steak house & Cuban menu and the La Piazza
with its seafood and international cuisine, not to mention the
Italian menu at La Sirena. These restaurants are open for dinner
from 6 pm to 10 pm and require a reservation, (subject to
availability). Guests can snack 24 hours a day at the La Sirena or
the Lobby Bar El Colibri. Bars include the Lobby Bar El Colibri,
the Aqua Bar Blue River, the beach bar and the smoking room.
Activities & Sport
In the outdoor complex are 4 swimming pools, including 1 outdoor
pool, a poolside snack bar, a children's swimming area and sun
loungers and parasols that have been laid out ready for use. Guests
may enjoy aqua fit or aerobics sessions, do a workout in the
in-house gym, kick back and relax in the hot tub, or take advantage
of the massage and spa treatments available. Sports enthusiasts may
play tennis, table tennis, pool/snooker, basketball, handball,
volleyball, beach volleyball or bocce. Water sports on offer
include diving, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing,
and pedal boating. A regular entertainment programme provides some
variation for guests both young and old. Moreover, sun loungers and
parasols are available for use on the nearby sandy beach.
