An authentic Spanish mansion in Barrio Amon, the hotel is a famously photographed building in San Jose. Though the city has grown around it, it was originally built as a large hacienda for a family who owned a coffee plantation in the 1920s. Still retaining its former charm, it has been remodelled to become a friendly hotel. The property features a 24-hour reception, hotel safe, breakfast room and WLAN Internet access. There are a total of 17 guest rooms on offer.

Though none of the guest rooms are the same, they are all equipped with queen- or king-size beds, cable TV with over 60 channels in Spanish and English, a telephone with free calls within Costa Rica and the ability to make international calls with a credit card or charged to guests' bill. The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower. A radio, Internet access and a safe also feature as standard.
