This charming beach establishment is an impressive resort on the
shores of the west coast of Vancouver Island where guests will find
a cosy atmosphere with a total of 23 double guest rooms, all with
bathroom en suite and all with views of the water. With, amongst
other things, a media room and patios overlooking both Vernon and
Jane Bays, this resort is one of the most impressive resorts on the
west coast. Further facilities on offer to guests include a lobby,
a hotel safe, a cloakroom and a games room. There is a TV lounge, a
cafe, a bar and a dining room with vaulted ceilings overlooking
Vernon Bay as well as conference facilities. Guests can take
advantage of the room and laundry services and there is WLAN
Internet access at their disposal.
Rooms
The standard rooms are spacious and all feature views of the water
and sliding doors, enabling guests to enjoy as much of the
breathtaking view as possible. The interiors are done in west coast
style and all bedding is with down feathers. All come with a
private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer and offer a
king-size or double bed. They are equipped with Internet access, an
ironing set, central heating and individually regulated air
conditioning.
Restaurant & Food
Guests are served breakfast each morning and the midday and evening
meals may be enjoyed à la carte.
Activities & Sport
This resort features a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols
and guests can also relax with a massage or spa treatment or in the
hot tub. There is plenty to see and do, including marine safaris,
whale watching, diving in Barkley Sound, kayaking, excursions to
the Broken Group Islands, nature hiking trails, salmon fishing and
heli-adventures. Water sports fans can also go pedal boating or
canoeing and it is also possible to play a game or pool/snooker at
the establishment. Moreover, sun loungers and parasols are
available for use on the pebble/rocky beach.
Comments
The resort is open from 15th June until 20th September. Guests are
picked up at 3:30 pm at the marina in Ucluelet. On departure, they
will leave at 11 am for Ucluelet. The resort is located in remote
surroundings. All meals are included in the price as well as the
water taxi to and from the resort.
Directions, How to get
there
Guests will be picked up in Ucluelet. If experiencing a delay they
should call the Boat Captain on 250-735-1716, or the resort on
1-800-760-2777. Parking in Ucluelet: the Tofino/Ucluelet highway
will turn into Peninsula Road. On Peninsula Road guests should
travel just past the Canadian Princess Resort and turn left onto
Hemlock Street. Follow Hemlock Street for a short distance (less
than 1 block) until reaching the public car park. Parking is
available here or on the streets. The meeting point is the Boat
Basin Marina, near the Harbour Master's Office (next to public car
park). The Eagle Nook Water Taxi will be at the dock at 3:30 pm to
meet guests.
