East Kimberley Tours is the longest serving safari operator in the Kimberley Region and proudly holds first place in the history of tours into the Bungle Bungle. 23 years ago, the Wainwright Family, owners of the Turkey Creek Roadhouse, began the first tours into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu National Park). Father and son, Bob and Paul Wainwright, took passengers into the little known region to see the magnificent beehive domes that are now world renowned and world heritage listed. They discovered a gorge which they named Kilometre Chasm, later to be renamed Echidna Chasm when the area became a national park. They were also first into Mini Palms Gorge and took the chief ranger of D.E.C to both sites in 1987. Today East Kimberley Tours is still the premier tour operator with a modern, air-conditioned fleet of 4WD vehicles and knowledgeable, experienced guides offering experience, reliability and quality service with 55 years living and working in the Kimberley.
