A symbolic building was redesigned, respecting the original
architecture, to form this city hotel. In the main building one can
find all the luxury of authentic palace style with the deluxe and
superior category rooms. The standard category rooms alongside the
main building are in a more modern vein. In addition to a lobby

and lift access, shared amenities available to guests include a

Rooms
The Classic Room is the lead in room type at the Sofitel Wentworth,
the rooms are medium in size for a five star hotel and very well
appointed. Classic rooms offer city views and are elegantly
finished in rich, contemporary yet classic tones and feature the
exclusive MyBed, state-of-the-art equipment and sumptuous marble
bathrooms. Hotel facilities include flatscreen TV, high-speed
Internet, large marble shower, Sofitel MyBed, tea & coffee
making facilities, iron and ironing board, minibar, pay-per-view TV
movies, in-room safe.
Restaurant & Food
Garden Court is located on level 5 of the hotel and offers a unique
Parisian dining experience in a conservatory style bistro. Open for
breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu features French inspired
dishes with an emphasis on locally sourced produce. The restaurant
is also well known for its extensive wine list, hand picked by
their very own Sommelier. The Lounge on the ground floor is located
adjacent to the lobby and offers light snacks through out the day,
including high tea in the afternoons.
Activities & Sport
There is a golf course in the vicinity of the hotel for fans of the
fairway. Alternatively, guests may choose to go horse riding.
Comments
Undercover security car parking is available to all hotel guests at
a nightly charge provided by Premier Parking. Please make your way
to the Bligh Street entrance of the hotel for assistance from the
valet.
Directions, How to get
there
From the airport follow on to the Eastern Distributor. Near toll
booths select City North lane. After paying toll take the Macquarie
street exit. At the top of the rise off the exit, will see the
State Library on your left and the Royal Botanic Gardens on your
right, and a set of traffic lights. Proceed through lights across
Macquarie street, and into Bent street. Proceed through next set of
lights at Phillip street and take the next left into Bligh street
(the 3rd set of lights since the toll booth). Hotel's car park will
be on left hand side (approx 100 metres).
