Muscat

The city called as “muscat” is in fact three smaller towns which have grown together over time. They are Muscat, Matrah,, and Ruwi. Muscat is the capital city of Oman. Muscat means “safe anchorage”, and the sea continues to constitute a major part of the city. The city is often referred as the “walled city”. Muscat is also renowned as one of the cleanest Arab capitals and has gained the honour of winning the Cleanest Arab City Contest several consecutive times.
