Grand Metropole

This is the only hotel in Blackpool that is situated between the sea and the promenade, offering uninterrupted views out across the Irish Sea. Originally built at the beginning of the 19th Century, the 209-room hotel was fully refurbished in 2007, returning it to its former glory. Facilities and services include live nightly entertainment shows featuring professional entertainers sporting some quite stunning costumes. There is also a 24-hour reception and check-in/check-out service, lift access, a café, bar, restaurant, conference facilities and a car park.

The en suite bedrooms feature traditional decorations and offer the perfect setting for one or multiple night stays. They include all the modern facilities such as hairdryer, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and central heating.

There are several bars and restaurants for guests to relax and enjoy. The Promenade Restaurant is open to non premier guests and serves dishes from the 3 course set evening menu. Breakfast is served here too. The Worall Restaurant is available to Premier Guests and has wonderful sea views. The Coastal Cafe Bar has fantastic sea front views and patio seating which looks out towards the North Pier and the Famous Blackpool Tower, where you sit out on the patio. It serves hot and cold light meals throughout the day.

By road: Exit the M55 at Junction 4. Take the 3rd exit from the roundabout onto the A583, Preston New Road, for 4 km. Continue onto B5390, Park Road, for 1.6 km. Turn left onto B5263, Read Avenue. Bear right onto the A5099, Central Drive, then turn left onto the A5099, New Bonny Street. Turn right onto the Promenade. The hotel is on the left after 800 m.
