Alternatively you could take the public ferry boat leaving from Padang Bai Harbor, Bali (crossing approximately 4 hours). This is a full day trip as you leave from Kuta /Seminyak area in Bali early in the morning and arrive on Gili Trawangan late in the afternoon. When you arrive on Gili Trawangan you can walk for 5 minutes to get to Good Heart Resort, or you can take one of the local horse carts called a Cidomo.
