A family business since 1919, this city hotel enjoys a reputation that extends well beyond Franconia. It offers guests a splendid view of the river, the Fortress Marienberg and the pilgrimage chapel, Käppele. The hotel was renovated in 2008. It has 40 rooms in total, including 20 single rooms and 20 double/twin rooms, spread across 4 floors. As was the case in centuries past, Würzburg is still today a lively cultural town. It has a total of 16 museums covering a wide range of cultural topics. Two of its most important museums are the Museum im Kulturspeicher, which opened in 2002, and the Museum am Dom, which opened in 2003. The Mainfranken-Theater and the many small cabarets provide a varied programme of theatre and comedy. After the show, there are bars and restaurants galore. Just around the corner from the hotel is the Sanderstraße area, the quarter with the largest number of taverns and bars. Shops and the bus station can be found in the immediate vicinity, and the train station is about 1 km from the hotel.
