Movenpick Taba Resort

Between the Sinai Mountains and the Gulf of Aqaba, this resort has a 400 m private beach. This beach resort was built in 2004 and consists of a total of 424 rooms and suites. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include air conditioning, a hotel safe, currency exchange, lift access, a hairdressing salon, games room, children's playground, conference facilities, room service and a car park. The resort offers several dining options, including a café, bar, pub and restaurant, as well as a casino. For additional fees, a kids' club, WLAN Internet access and a laundry service are also available.

All of the tastefully designed rooms feature balconies and overlook the mountains, sea or the pool area. Each room is en suite with a shower, bath and hairdryer. In-room amenities include air conditioning, a 34-channel cable TV, a minibar, double or king-size bed, direct dial telephone, Internet access, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set and individually regulated air conditioning.

The hotel recommends that guests begin the day with the famous continental buffet breakfast. At Chopsticks, the Chinese chef offers authentic flavours of the Far East; a delicious selection of à la carte dim sum cuisine and traditional Chinese specialities. The Shahrazad restaurant offers authentic Oriental cuisine, including a variety of mezzeh in a unique ambience. Sea Shells is the perfect venue to indulge in the fruits of the sea with a selection from the catch of the day or à la carte delicacies. Both lunch and dinner are available à la carte, from a set menu and in buffet form.

The resort has 2 outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub and 2 indoor pools (heated in winter) including a children's pool and poolside snack bar. Further amenities include sun loungers and parasols, aqua fit and aerobics. There is occasional evening entertainment and a 400 m private beach giving guests access to the marvels of the underwater world. Reflections Spa is available to sooth guests during their stay, equipped with a gym, hairdressing salon, 6 treatment rooms, a hot tub, sauna and steam room as well as a juice bar (some activities for a fee). Guests can also go diving, surfing, windsurfing, motor boating, banana boating and canoeing (all for a fee). Guests can also play paddle tennis and pool/snooker (both for a fee) as well as table tennis, darts and beach volleyball. There are also sun loungers with parasols laid out on the sandy beach.

Check-out time is at 12 pm and check-in time is at 2 pm.

Driving directions from the north: from Israel, follow the road to Eilat, then onwards to the Egyptian-Israeli border crossing. The resort comes into view after 200 m on the left-hand side. Driving from the south: follow the directions to Nuweiba, then continue on the Nuweiba-Taba road leading to the Egyptian-Israeli border. The resort will come into view after 8 km behind the Taba checkpoint on the right. Driving from the west: take the Suez Road to the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel, continue on the Nekhel-Nuweiba road to the Taba checkpoint, turn left, following the road for approximetly 8 km. The resort will come into view on the right.
