Description

As the sister hotel to the Hotel Hellsten on the opposite side of the road, the Rex offers the very best 3 star accommodation in Stockholm. It has a feel of staying in a design hotel but with exceptionally friendly staff and attention to detail. The owner being a renowned photographer has hung his pictures throughout, making the hotel feel like a living art gallery. Very highly recommended!
Exterior: The hotel is a refurbished town house from 1866 and as such the exterior's original features of stone and large windows remain. Internally the 19th century atmosphere can be felt through the old, brick-vaults in the basement and in the staircase.
Lobby: The lobby utilizes the front reception room of the old town house. It offers a comfortable and relaxed space with leather sofas and large low-level coffee table's making the experience more like a coffee shop than reception.

Rooms
The rooms are a reflection of Scandinavian design. The rooms in the street house are modern, stylish and functional while the rooms in the garden wing are an exciting combination of velvet, colour, walnut and concrete. In addition to a private bathroom with a bathtub, shower and a hairdryer, in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, TV set and Internet access.

Restaurant & Food
Breakfast is served in a small room facing the street. The chairs are comfortable and inviting allowing for an enjoyable experience. In summer breakfast can be taken in the inner courtyard garden or the glass conservatory, which is under construction.

Activities & Sport
Guests can enjoy working up a sweat in the hotel sauna while those looking to stay in shape can head to the gym for a workout.

Directions, How to get there
From the north follow the E4 to Stockholm and exit at Norrtull/Karolinska Sjukhuset. Follow Sveaplan and after that Sveavaegen. Turn left after 1.3 km and follow Tegnergatan from where guests will reach Luntmakargatan. From the south follow Uppsalavaegen on the E20 until reaching Stockholm. Turn right and follow Sveaplan and after that Sveavaegen. Turn left after 1.3 km and follow Tegnergatan from where guests will reach Luntmakargatan.
