The luxurious city hotel was built in 1903 and renovated in 2005. It offers 251 rooms spread over 7 floors, including 21 suites. The Caledonian Hilton Refurbishment The hotel will be commencing a refurbishment programme in October, 2011. The main areas affected will be some of the bedrooms and public areas. During this time, access to the hotel will remain the same from the corner of Lothian Road and Rutland Street but kindly note that both Chisholms Restaurant and Henry J Beans Bar & Grill will be closed. Guests can still enjoy Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner in the hotel?s Pompadour Restaurant, served seven days a week. The hotel will not be able to offer guests car parking facilities. From Edinburgh airport: Follow the A8 toward Edinburgh centre. From Glasgow or Glasgow Airport: Take the M8 eastbound towards Edinburgh and follow the signs to the centre. Haymarket station is around 2 km to the east, around a 10-minute walk or a short taxi or bus ride away.
