The hotel overlooks the former Royal Estate Lake where Peter the Great learned to sail, an early passion for which he exceled and was his inspiration for founding the Russian navy. Also beside the hotel is the Izmailova market which is very popular with both locals and tourist like due to it's competitive prices. Overall this is a very good value western style modern hotel which offers the guests many choices of facilities with easy access to the city centre.
Exterior: The building itself plain high rise building typical of Soviet architecture at the time very similar in design to it's other three sister hotels close by.
Lobby: The medium sized lobby has been recently renovated and is very modern and white in stark contrast to the outside of the building.
