Located only 55 km from Bulawayo, the lodge is set in its own private game reserve bordering Matobo Hills National Park. The national park is only about 10 minutes' drive away. Bulawayo can be reached in an around 30-minute drive.

Set upon a granite dome above the wild Maleme Valley, the lodge reflects the spirit of its environment. Landscaping into the surrounding rocks, the lodge's thatched cottages, shady gardens and refreshing pools provide the perfect setting from which to explore the mystical hills. Facilities at the hotel include a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-in/ check-out service, a children's playground and a restaurant. Conference facilities are also available. A laundry service and a car park are also on offer to guests.

Rooms
Well-appointed granite-under-thatch chalets offer up to 34 guests a comfortable retreat, in 13 twin-bedded and four double-bed rooms, all fully carpeted. All lodges have an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath, WC and basin, as well as electrical outlets. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in all rooms, which also feature double or king-size beds. Each room also has a balcony or terrace.

Restaurant & Food
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed as a buffet or from the à la carte menu.

Activities & Sport
The lodge offers a magnificent outdoor swimming pool with a natural waterfall and children's swimming area. Sun loungers are laid out ready for use, and volleyball is also available. The hotel organises an entertainment programme for adults and children. Options include a tour of the historical grave of Cecil John Rhodes, game drives within the Matobo National Park and bush dinners.
