This historical and family-run accommodation (built in 1618) with
traditional log fires offers a wide range of leisure facilities. It
welcomes families with children and there is a four-poster bedroom
for those who value that added touch of luxury. The hotel is
designed to ensure guests enjoy the perfect friendly atmosphere for
business or leisure. The property comprises a total of 24 guest
rooms, a lobby with hotel safe, a TV lounge, children's adventure
playground, café, bar, restaurant and conference

Rooms
All rooms are en suite, spacious and comfortable with a relaxing
ambience. Individually furnished and decorated in keeping with the
character, the rooms come complete with satellite/cable TV, radio,
direct dial telephone, and tea and coffee making facilities. Also
there are family rooms, and for disabled guests, specially adapted
accommodation on the ground floor. The bathrooms are fitted with a
shower and bath, and the bedrooms with double beds. All rooms are
centrally heated and have Internet access.
Restaurant & Food
The AA award-winning Connors Restaurant was converted from a barn
and is spread over several levels. It features a minstrel gallery
complete with oak beams. The informal atmosphere creates the
perfect ambience to enjoy choosing from the varied menus, which are
regularly changed to bring fresh delights to diners. The Whoops
comfortable bar hosts traditional hand-pulled ales, roaring log
fires and welcoming staff. Live music is played in the bar several
nights a week. Turners Bistro is open daily for breakfast, lunch
and evening bar snacks. Guests are able to choose from a wide and
changing menu. All meals are created with the finest of local
produce. In the summer months guests can enjoy alfresco dining on
the terrace, overlooking spectacular, panoramic views of the open
countryside of three counties - Cumbria, Lancashire and
Yorkshire.
Activities & Sport
Guests can enjoy full complimentary use of the extensive facilities
in the country club, as well as enjoying the extensive landscaped
gardens and sun terrace. Guests can also make use of the 18-metre
indoor heated swimming pool with aqua fit courses, a gym and a

there
By car: Turn right onto the A5230 in the direction of the M55
motorway. Continue on the M55 for 19.4 km. Join the M6 at J32 for
49.6 km and exit at J36 onto the A590. At the roundabout take the
A65 for 8.7 km and Bentick Drive A65 for 1.5 km. The hotel can be
