This hotel is subject annually to a Quality Assured assessment by
Visit Britain hotel inspectors and has been awarded a three-star
grading. The hotel is situated in a fine town house with 73 en
suite rooms. Facilities include 24-hour reception and check-in/
check-out services, car parking (for a fee, subject to
availability), a restaurant and a lobby. There is also a hotel
safe, a cloakroom, lift access to the rooms, a children's
playground and conference facilities. For additional fees, guests
can also make use of WLAN Internet access, room service, laundry
service and bicycle hire.
Rooms
The rooms are traditional, with modern amenities. All rooms have en
suite bathrooms with either bath and shower or shower only.
Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and WLAN
broadband Internet access are provided in the rooms. Additional
in-room amenities include a hairdryer, a double bed,
satellite/cable TV, a radio, a safe and an ironing set. Heating is
provided, and each room also features a terrace.
Restaurant & Food
The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfast is a
buffet service with both traditional English and continental
breakfasts. During the evening, quality meals are provided from the
daily set menu. Light meals and bar snacks are available throughout
the day.
Activities & Sport
Facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub,
steam room and gym, all free of charge to hotel guests. The outdoor
pool is surrounded by a seated patio area with sun loungers and
parasols which is ideal for sun bathing in fine weather.
Comments
The reception is open 24 hours a day, therefore key collection is
available at anytime. Check-in time is 12 midday and check-out time
is 10 am, however luggage can be stored if required.
Directions, How to get
there
The road from the airport leads immediately to an island. Keep left
and go straight on following the B36. Stay on this road until a
junction. Turn right onto the A12 (Beaumont Hill). Follow Beaumont
Hill until the junction, turn left on to the A1 (the main coastal
road into St Helier). Follow this coast road until approaching the
Grand Hotel on the left-hand side. Turn left before the hotel
(keeping Victoria's restaurant on the right-hand side). Follow this
road until the junction, keep right and follow the ring road, then
immediately get in the left-hand lane and take the first left onto
Rouge Bouillon. Follow this past the police station on the right
until the large island at the end of the road. Take the road to the
right, which is still Rouge Bouillon. Follow this road until the
traffic lights - stay in the middle lane. Go straight on past
Roberts Garage, which is on the left, then follow this road, get
into the right lane and follow the ring road, then get into the
left-hand lane and the hotel is 193 m further along on the
right.
