The hotel was built in 1989 according to the design of Philippe
Starck and consists of six floors with a total of 204 rooms,
including suites and lofts with large windows. The design combines
architectural features ranging from the modern to Baroque. Hotel
facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe,
currency exchange desk, cloakroom, conference room and lift access
as well as a garage and car parking spaces. Dining options include
a café, a popular bar featuring a unique design,
lights shows and photographs from Jean Baptiste Mondino as well an
exquisite and well-known air-conditioned restaurant with a separate
non-smoking area. Hotel guests have the option of using the
Internet access as well as the room and laundry services available.
The Rum Bar is located at the edge of the restaurant and has a bar
area serving over a hundred types of Rum. It is a standing bar and
has a series of custom-designed high lean-on tables.

The hotel has a very well-known restaurant, Asia de Cuba which is
overseen by renowned international restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow.
It combines elements of Asian and Cuban cuisine served
sharing-style in a high energy London restaurant.Housed in a
dramatically colonnaded space, Asia de Cuba's innovative menu is
matched in its surroundings by a dramatic series of soaring art
columns. Asia de Cuba not only serves huge sharing portions for
dinner, it has adapted the famous dishes for Bento Boxes, perfect
for lunch or pre-theater. At the end of your experience, you can
also take a little piece home with the new Chocolate Menu,
featuring classic Asia de Cuba cocktails and flavors such as
'Deluxe Mojito' and 'Thai Chilli' encapsulated in chocolate.At St
Martins Lane there is also the well-known" The Light Bar" which is
a unique and breathtaking London club that takes the concept of
atmospheric lighting to new heights. Guests gather to sip the now
famous cocktails, such as Raspassion Martini, Lighten Up Champagne,
Strawberry Cheesecake and Lychee and Elderflower Collins, snack on
Asia de Cuba delights, chat and people watch in a series of cozy
niches that are bathed in warmly vibrant shafts of colored
light,pink, orange, violet, and green. The walls are hung with
enormous black & white close-up photographs of people
making.
Activities & Sport
The hotel has its own gym open 24 hours a day, located on the 1st
floor. Hotel guests are also entitled to use Gym Box which features
an Olympic-size boxing ring and more than 25 punch bags, plus a
large range of cardio equipment. There are also cinema screens,
dedicated spinning studios and personal trainers available. The use
of the gym is complimentary to the hotel's resident guests.
Comments
The Light Bar serves speciality drinks and cocktails and on
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there is a DJ in the bar playing a
variety of music. Guests must be 21 years or older and a resident
to be admitted.

there
Driving from London Heathrow, take the M4 to the A4 which carries
onto Cromwell Road, and follow through to Old Brompton Road and
Hyde Park Corner. Follow through to Trafalgar Square. The hotel is
located on St Martins Lane. From London Heathrow by rail, take the
Heathrow Express to London Paddington railway station. Then take a
taxi or take London underground Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square
and take two rights onto St Martins Lane. From London Gatwick by
rail, take the Gatwick Express to London Victoria railway station
and then take a taxi.
