This classic Tudor-style manor is set in its own parkland with a
natural lake and swan sanctuary. It was renovated in 2007 and has
10 rooms in total. It offers luxury accommodation, as well as the
recently opened Anton's restaurant and Champagne barn with
world-renowned chef Anton Endelmann. It has a lobby, 24-hour
reception and check-out service, a cloakroom, conference
facilities, Internet access, and room and laundry services. Parking
facilities are available to guests arriving by car.
Rooms
The modern en suite rooms, elegant in décor, offer
individually regulated heating, Internet access, satellite TV, a
direct dial telephone, courtesy tray, minibar (stocked on request)
and a safe. All bathrooms have spacious walk-in showers and are
non-smoking. King-size beds come as standard.
Restaurant & Food
Anton's restaurant and Champagne barn, overseen by renowned Chef
Patron Anton Edelmann, offers seasonal menus with ingredients
sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. The restaurant
overlooks our lake and swan sanctuary and serves lunch and dinner
all week through with the only exception being Saturday lunchtime.
Competitively priced and is fast gaining a reputation as the
leading restaurant in the area. Booking is a must for Friday and
Saturday evenings. If you are after more intimate surroundings, why
not book the Chef's Table, a private room for up to 10 guests where
you can watch your meal being prepared by Anton and his
brigade.

Striving to be a carbon neutral as much as is possible for a unit
of there size. They have introduced a number of initiatives to
assist with this aim. These include the Ground Source Heating Pump
system and a Bio Diesel Generator to power the hotel. These and
many other initiatives make this the ideal venue for the
eco-sensitive traveller.

there
By car from Stansted Airport, take the main access road to M11
(London). At the Bressingbourn roundabout take the 2nd exit and
merge onto the A120 (London). Branch left, and at Priory Wood
roundabout take the 1st exit for B1256 (Takeley). Follow the road
for about 100 m and turn right (Esso petrol station is on the left)
onto Tilekiln road. The hotel is about 750 m further on, on the
left. From the M11 motorway, exit at junction 8 for Stansted
Airport and Bishops Stortford. At the roundabout, take the exit
onto Dunmow Road for B1256 (Takeley). Continue for about 100 m and
then turn right at the Esso petrol station onto Tilekiln road.
Continue for about 750 m and the hotel is on the left.
