All rooms are well-appointed and have balconies overlooking the swimming pools and gardens. Rooms are furnished with king-size beds. Each of the units include standard amenities such as air conditioning, a TV, telephone, safe and a hairdryer. Moreover, each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. Tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and an ironing set are also standard features in all accommodation units.

There is a cafe in the hotel that is open for breakfast only. The Cairns Colonial Club Resort's Homestead Restaurant and Bar is open nightly and offers a choice of a buffet with soup, salad and dessert, with an optional a la carte main course at an additional charge.

There are three tropical swimming pools at the hotel, a beach-style swimming pool and spa, a 25-metre lap pool and a dive pool. Guests can also pamper themselves with a spa treatment.
